SignalTrack

Our SignalTrack direction finder software suite works with our DDF6001, DDF6002, and MPT direction finders.  SignalTrack provides real-time control and data acquisition. For example, it graphically displays the data from multiple networked direction finding sites on a map and plots the bearings in real time.  The SignalTrack direction finder software may be connected…

  • By a direct serial connection
  • Via the Internet or an intranet
  • By dialup or leased line modems
  • By radio modem

Data from the direction finding sites are processed to display an estimate of the location of the transmitted signal and to provide an uncertainty ellipse to help the operator determine the quality of the target estimate.  Our SignalTrack direction finder software functions similarly to our legacy software, BearingTrack and AutoTrack. However, it adds some important new features including:

Features of SignalTrack Direction Finder Software

  • Single program can be used for both fixed and mobile operation
  • Display of fixed site and mobile site locations and bearings on a single map
  • Flexible networking of multiple fixed and mobile sites
  • Improved mapping including user generated maps, the ESRI ArcGIS engine1, and Google Earth
  • Support for USB receivers (ICOM R1500, R2500) as well as RS232 and CIV receivers
  • Automatic calibration to known beacon locations
  • Ability to save mission profiles
  • Synchronize data collection with GPS receiver
  • Audio monitoring and recording of remote sites
  • AES or DES Encryption of data exchanged with other sites (available in North America)
  • Text Messaging between sites (fixed and mobile)
  • Recording and playback of the data received from the sites
  • Text based data logging
  • Supports receiver scanning (ICOM R8500, AOR AR5000, AOR5001D)
  • Improved target estimation algorithm
  • Improved estimated target display
  • Setup wizards aide the user in configuring the program
  • Developed on Microsoft’s .Net technology

SignalTrack currently works only with the following receivers: ICOM R8500, ICOM R1500, and ICOM R2500. It also works with AOR AR8600, AR5000, AOR AR5001D, and AOR SR2200 (series 7000 only). If you are not using one of these receivers the you can still use SignalTrack. However, the frequency control functions will be inoperable.

You can find further information on networking fixed and mobile sites on the networking page. Finally, you can download the software from our downloads page.
