Series 7000 Radio Direction Finding System
|
For mobile operation, RF summer DDF7080 is placed on the roof of the car with a set of four matched mag mount antennas (for coverage up to 500 MHz) or it is used with the DDF7064 antenna which mounts directly on top of the summer for operation in the 500 - 1000 MHz band. The DDF7064 includes four stub type antennas built into TNC plugs which are designed to cover 700 to 1000 MHz. This antenna includes a separate ground plane, cover and safety strap. When operation at lower frequencies is desired, the stub antennas are removed and the TNC connectors from the magnetic mount antennas are connected in their place. Magnetic mount antennas should be placed 1/4 wavelength apart in a square and their whip antennas should be cut to 1/4 wavelength also.
